Justin is a super cool kid with a laid back personality and a great laugh! I have known him now for 2 years and have photographed his family as well as his older brother Kyle for his senior pictures. He has a pretty amazing family! Justin is our 2011 senior rep for Santa Rosa High School and I was super stoked to spend the day with him while taking his senior pictures! It always amazes me how fast time goes! I mean seriously! Just a second ago, Josh was in middle school! He has always been such a sweet and thoughtful kid and not much has changed. Except now he is over 6 feet tall with facial hair (and a REALLY cool car!) Josh is my senior rep for Napa High and plays Varsity football. Becca is a senior this year at Napa High and I have been SO looking forward to her session after meeting her over the summer at the Studio 12 launch party! She is completely adorable and a really talented soccer player. She is also head over heels for her bf Cody! He showed up at the end of her shoot and I snapped a couple of them together. As a photographer my favorite shots are constantly changing but right now I have to say that this first image is one of my favorites! Kati is a senior at Vintage this year and we had an awesome time taking her senior portraits! I feel like we really captured the different sides of her personality. When my youngest was born, we were so excited to get her home and start adjusting to our new little family of four. All was magical until about day 4. Day 4 was when  our sweet little perfect angel decided to scream her lungs out for hours at a time. We took her to the doctor and their response was that she had colic and there was nothing I could do but to wait it out for the next three months. Say whaaaaa??? She literally cried for 3 months straight. She was the sweetest little thing but once four o’clock hit, she was a screaming machine until 9pm when all of sudden, just like clockwork, she would stop and fall right into a deep sleep. I still don’t understand exactly what colic is or what causes it but after it was gone, we got our sweet little angel back!

Sweet little Haley came into the studio last week for her session and she had a cry very similar to my daughters. It just broke my heart to see her so upset and it totally brought me back to that time with my own daughter. Her momma was so incredibly patient with her and it was such a beautiful site to see baby Haley soothe as her mom rocked her and sang gently in her ear. There is definitely a bond there between the two.I think she slept all of 5 minutes during our 4 hour session and she definitely gave me a run for my money! But she is so stinkin’ cute and momma, I promise it will be better soon!

As soon as I heard that Cally and Sean were having twins I knew I just HAD to photograph them! This was the first time I have had twin newborns in the studio! It is definitely more challenging than working with just one, but I learned a lot and they are such sweet little guys! And boy do they have different personalities! It was almost comical to see the extreme difference in the two! I can’t wait to see how they change as they grow! Congrats Cally and Sean! What a double blessing you guys have! xo
