This blog is normally filled up with sneak previews of all my clients sessions, and I love sharing those with you. This post is a little different because it features my family. I don’t normally do personal posts, mainly because of how big the internet is, but also because it feels vulnerable. But as I sit here looking through these pictures, they made me smile. So, even though it is a simple glimpse into our family vacation, I want to share it with you.

We took a family vacation over the holiday break down to Southern California. I love these pictures. Not because of any technical attributes. But because they tell our story. I can look at them and remember that Makenzie was small enough for John to twirl around. That Jordan was still young enough to not sigh when mom wanted to take a picture with him. That our kids still like to play in the sand and chase the waves. That I am still madly in love with the man I married, even after 13 years.

Life moves so fast and I am so glad that I took the time to pick up a camera and just play. No styling. No fixing hair. No perfect composition. Just me and my camera with no strings attached. It was fun.

This is me and my family. I love them to pieces. I think I am going to collage some of these in the house. I have to say that this first one is my favorite:)
