Since I am not a wedding photographer, I only get to shoot engagement sessions every once in awhile. But when I get the chance I love it! I am so inspired by people that are head over heels for each other. Call me a sap, whatever. I love it! And there was plenty of love to capture between Amanda and Matt at this weeks session. They might be young but their love is captivating. They are each others best friends, which is really how it should be! Matt is serving over in Iraq and is just here for a couple weeks so we wanted to make sure we could capture this special time before he heads back to serve our country. I am so incredibly thankful for him. Like mama proud.

I love seeing people in love. True love. Even more than that, I love photographing people in love! These two are madly in love with each other and I could see it as clear as day the very moment we met! Jenae gets this sweet little giggle when John is around and he is just captivated by her. Their love is real and I was honored that they chose Sarah Lane Studios (and traveled from El Dorado Hills!) to capture this awesome time before they become husband and wife. Leaving on a jet plane… | Napa engagement photographer | Sarah Lane Studios

When I got an email from a couple in Nebraska (yes, I said Nebraska) I was floored when they asked if I could do their engagements session if they flew out to Napa. What an honor! They had an awesome birthday week celebrating Megan’s birthday and I met up with them Saturday for their session. They are some of the funniest, easy going people that I have had the pleasure of working with and kept me laughing nearly the whole time. They are very much in love and I wish them all the best! What an awesome couple! And boy have they been patient! We shot this sesh almost two weeks ago and with this icky cold and a busy birthday week (yes, my birthday lasts a week, sometimes a month!)
