Desirae is Studio 12’s 2011 senior rep for Vintage High! Des is full of personality and one of the sweetest (and stylish) girls so I couldn’t have been more excited to introduce her as our senior spokesmodel! She was a total sport when I asked her if I could try stylizing part of her session with some vintage boxing gloves. I have had this idea in my head now for over a year and thought that she could totally pull off the look :) She isn’t a boxer, but she would make a hot one right?!

Favorite color?  Pink and Black… but not together! haha!

Favorite saying? “Huh?”

What make me smile is… I am always smiling my friends make me smile, and money makes me smile. Haha  Places I like to shop… Forever 21

Favorite food? Firewood & Coldstone

Something most people might not know about me…I’m half mexican, and half white. Not just white!

What I want to be when I grow up… When i grow up i want to be in the fashion industry doing something like styling people, or dressing people for fashion shows.

Thing I am looking forward to most about senior year… Looking forward to wearing the cap and gown!

The best thing about Studio 12 Seniors is… The pictures, and the candy bag we get! :)

Sometimes there are days when you just want to cry. This little punkin was having one of those kind of days! Her parents drove from Hayward bright and early in hopes of having a fun and cheerful family session! Things didn’t go quite as planned (hey, that’s totally normal for a 6 month old!) but we were able to capture some beautiful shots! Thank you guys for hanging in there and making the trip! What seems like FOREVER ago, I met Brandy our sophomore year of high school. We had a couple of classes together and what I remember most about her was her kindness. She was a friend to everyone and I was always impressed with how she treated everyone around her. Well not much has changed since then! She is still married to her high school sweetheart (14 years baby!) and that same kindness still radiates from her. I had such a great time photographing them but even more, spending the time hanging out! I have already decided that her daughter will be my senior rep her senior year (we are talkin’ 2015 people!) Last week I got to hang out with one really cool middle schooler! No, it wasn’t my son Jordan (although he is a really cool middle schooler too!) I got to spend some one on one time with Mika! I first met her when we photographed her new baby brothers session! We thought it would be fun for her to get some time of her own in front of my lens to capture this beautiful time for her. I remember the transition into the teens being filled with all sorts of changes (both good and bad)! But all and all, it is really such a defining time in our lives, and one that deserves to be captured! We laughed a lot and I loved that she totally warmed to me. She is the sweetest and I look forward to taking her senior portraits in a few years!

Does this little guy look familiar?? He is only the CUTEST and SWEETEST little guy ever!! Luke is part of a national campaign called “More Alike Than Different” and needs all of our votes!! They are choosing three posters to be part of the National campaign for Down Syndrome Awareness. It would be awesome if you could take just a moment to vote for the little guy! His poster is #255.
